Financial Mathematics - a section of applied mathematics, solves mathematical problems associated with financial calculations
The main directions of financial mathematics:
- classical financial mathematics or credit mathematics (interest calculations, calculations related to debt instruments, analysis of payment flows)
- Stochastic financial mathematics, including the calculation of the non-arbitrary (or "fair") price of financial instruments
- carrying out actuarial calculations (mathematical basis of insurance)
- econometric calculations related to forecasting the behavior of financial markets
