InBridge Consulting analyzed the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on financial results before taxation of Ukrainian companies. Thus, the financial result by type of economic activity in 2018 amounted to 433.177.9 million UAH, including enterprises that received a profit of 74.3 percent. to the total with a financial result of 746,390.1 mln. and which worked unprofitable - 25.7 percent. or the amount of losses amounted to 313.212.2 million hryvnia.
Three main profitable industries in 2018 (as a percentage of the total): agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 86.2, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles - 77.2, transport, warehousing, postal and courier activities - 74.1 percent . The first three unprofitable industries in 2018 have the following form (in percent of the total): art, sports, entertainment and recreation - 36.7, real estate operations - 36.2, financial and insurance activities - 35.5 percent.
The analysis of financial results before taxation by region in 2018 shows that the top three "profitable areas" in 2018 (as a percentage of the total number of enterprises that made a profit in the region) have the following form: Kirovogradskaya - 81.7, Ivano-Frankivsk - 81.3 , Nikolaev - 78.7 percent. The first three regions in 2018 in which the most registered enterprises, declared losses (in percent of the total): Kiev - 31.2, Chernivtsi - 30.1, Rovno - 28.5 percent. Reference. The data on the Transcarpathian, Zaporizhzhya, Poltava, Kharkiv, Chernihiv regions by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine are not made public in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On State Statistics" on the confidentiality of statistical information.
